The Effect pf Source of Organic Materials and Application Time on Growth and Yield of Beetroot (Beta vulgaris L.) in Dry Land

Beetroot ( Beta vulgaris L.) is a horticultural plant that has many benefits lie in tubers. Red beets are widely planted highland areas with loose soil conditions. Currently, the expansion of land for food crops experiencing problems due to limited productive land. The use dry as agricultural main obstacles, namely low fertility, organic matter content, and generally clay dust-dominated soil. application needs be added aiming improve physical properties soil, especially texture so becomes it does not hinder tuber development process. research was carried out from April 2020 August at Agro-Techno Park (ATP) Jatikerto garden. study used split-plot design material sources plot, B1: goat manure, B2: Azolla compost, B3: UB time subplots, T1: simultaneously planting, T2: 1 month before T3 : 2 months planting. Observational data were analyzed using analysis variance (Test F), if there an influence between treatments, further tests Honest Significant Difference (BNJ) test. results showed compost better applied planting because produced high weight per harvest plot more profitable. Based on farming analysis, feasible cultivate R/C reaching 3.67.
